The Performance Dog Registry The Performance Dog Registry (PDR), is an evaluation system for breeders and owners of dogs that want to maintain mental, physical, and temperamental soundness, to perform work or to retain the integrity of a breed for successful, future generations. The PDR uses written evaluations, based on practical needs and situations for working dogs. A written record as to the dogs’ soundness and efficiency in each phase of performance testing is supplied to every entrant. This score/evaluation sheet, is designed to give you a written record of exactly what the judge saw in your dog on the day of the trial, and also for you to use as a written training plan to improve your dogs performance for the trial field or every day life Working breeds have performed in herding, hunting, police, and protection, of their human companions for centuries. In order to maintain the genetic integrity necessary to continue producing workable, sound breeds, the PDR, working with a panel of internationally recognized experts in the professions of Herding, and Police, and Military, as well as champion competitors and trainers in the internationally recognized sports of SchutzHund, Ring, and K9Pro Sports, has produced a program to test mental soundness in dogs along with physical and structural soundness. These programs can be performed at any dog gathering or club meet using the fundamentals of trainability, athleticism, and protective responsibility (drives) Certification is currently available in three disciplines that prove ability, intelligence and athletic ability in all breeds, these categories are Obedience, for intelligence and trainability, Agility, for athleticism and physical ability, and Protection for the guardian dogs responsibilty. Dogs earning certification will be awarded certificates and registries concerned with keeping the working ability of breeds alive will list those titles on the dogs pedigree. Obedience title Bulldog Purpose; The basic Obedience title is designed to showcase a dog’s ability to learn as well as it’s general sociability, and temperament. All exercises will be performed by the handler dog team in as efficient a manner as possible. A handler and dog team will enter the show field and indicate when they are ready to start. When ‘ready’ the Steward or judge will give all instructions to the team as to each move to be made. If at any time the handler does not hear or understand the commands from the Steward the Handler may stop and ask for clarification with no loss of points. Dogs are judged on their efficiency in carrying out commands, handler attentiveness, and willingness to work efficiently with their handler. Dogs should work with an eager to please attitude reflecting the teamwork with their handler. A written score sheet with a numerical value assigned to each exercise or movement will be used for every exercise. A copy of the score sheet will be furnished to each contestant Point deductions are given for failure to perform an exercise. Double commands from the handler, whether the second command is voice or body signal, or any additional commands given in or out of the ring. Slow response from the dog will cause point loss. Dogs appearing timid or unsure will be given point deductions. Aggressive behavior displayed toward humans or other animals will result in dismissal from the ring.

Guardians Utility Title - GUT A new working title designed for bulldogs but open to any guardian breed that possesses the necessary athleticism, tenacity and balance.
Francesco Arnone, founder of Miurabulldogs Kennels (former Linebackers) selected the “Pinta Drill” as a prototype to work on the definition of the G.U.T.
The drill shares many basic skills with pre-Victorian "Bullbaiting" (SPRINT-JUMP-BITE-HOLD-HANG-LAND-REPEAT-FOCUS-REMAIN STABLE), therefore its "similarity" to it (not claiming or wanting to be a recreation).
The “Pinta Drill” and the G.U.T. (its finished product) can be seen as an evolution and a modern application of the skills possessed by a bullbaiter (the true traits of a bulldog), proposed in a contest that could occur in most suburban areas:
a FENCE, a BACK YARD, a BULLDOG, an INNOCENT and a BAD GUY.
The achieved G.U.T. titles can be added to the ABRA pedigrees and considered a prestigious achievement among bulldoggers and masters of any guardian breed.
The G.U.T. is the workability selection criteria at Miurabulldogs Kennels.

REQUIREMENTS The test implies sprinting around the “innocent” (the person to be protected), jumping to bite the sleeve of a decoy in bite-suit, positioned behind a 5 ½ feet, see-through fence, hanging (all feet off the ground). OUT on command, land on 4 feet, while remaining focused on the potential intruder (patrolling as he/she moves along the fence). The dog needs to show to want the decoy and will jump to try to bite even when the sleeve is not offered. The routine needs to be repeated twice to give proof of consistency. UPDATES: - Schutzhund 1 Obedience is a pre-requisite. - Titles will be granted at Trials administered by Judges recognized by any of the currently established organizations. - Maximum 3 attempts per trial.
